For cleaning, various cleaning techniques are used:

- dry sand blasting with coarse granulates and high pressure,
- wet sand blasting with coarse granulates and high pressure,
- the use of chemicals: very often strong acids or alkalines,
- the use of water: high pressure jets, abundant flowing, spraying, the use of steam or combinations of all these techniques,
- low pressure dry/wet sand blasting, such as gommage and rotation whirl systems,
- laser cleaning and micro-sandblasting

  | RISK

None of these systems are routinely used to clean interiors: either too much water has to be used or too much dust is produced. Lasercleaning is too expensive to be considered as a routine technique for the cleaning of surfaces.

  | SOLUTION

A development of FTB-Remmers in interior cleaning is the introduction of peelable poultices for removing deposits - these are known as Arte Mundit® poultices.
